Live Translate — Real-Time Live Translation in 103 Languages

Live Translate Live is a live translator that runs in your browser. Speak normally and the live translation appears on screen as you talk — or is spoken aloud in the other person's language — across 103 languages in any direction. Nothing to install and no app store. Unlike a phone held by one person or earbuds in one person's ears, it can put the whole conversation on one screen both people read at once. How to translate a live conversation →

How Live Translate Live Works

1

Speak Naturally

Both people talk in their own language. The app listens through your device microphone and converts speech to text in real time using advanced AI speech recognition.

2

Instant AI Translation

Each sentence is translated instantly into the other person's language. The real-time conversation translator handles both directions simultaneously — true two-way translation.

3

Scrolling Translation Display

Translated text scrolls across the screen in a real-time translation marquee. Both speakers can read the live translation with subtitles on screen as the conversation flows naturally.

AI Real-Time Translation Features

Bilingual Scrolling Translator

The scrolling translation display shows both the original speech and its translation scrolling across your screen. It's like a live caption system designed for bilingual conversations — easy to read at a glance, even from across a room.

Works on Any Device

Live Translate Live runs in your web browser — no app download required. Use it on a phone, tablet, laptop, or connect to a TV for a large scrolling translation display. Open the standalone marquee window on a second screen for the best experience.

Vis-à-vis Face-to-Face Display

Vis-à-vis mode flips the top row of the scrolling translation display 180° so two people sitting across a table can both read. Place a phone or tablet between you — both sides are readable. Enabled by default; toggle it off in the menu for side-by-side seating.

103 Languages Supported — Any Direction

Live Translate Live supports real-time two-way translation between any pair of 103 languages — that's 10,506 possible language combinations. Unlike translation apps that only work to and from English, Live Translate Live translates between any two supported languages directly. Speech recognition is powered by ElevenLabs Scribe v2 Realtime, translation by Google Gemini 2.5, and live AI voice playback (in Audio mode) by ElevenLabs v3 in 74 of those languages.

When to Use Real-Time Conversation Translation

Translate Face-to-Face Conversations

Wondering how to talk to someone who speaks another language? Place a screen between you and start talking. The scrolling translation display lets both people follow the conversation in their own language — perfect for meetings, appointments, or everyday interactions.

Bilingual Family Communication

Use it as a bilingual conversation translator to bridge language gaps between family members. Grandparents, in-laws, or relatives who speak different languages can finally have natural conversations without someone translating in the middle.

Business & Professional Meetings

The real-time translation marquee can display on a large screen during meetings with international colleagues or clients. Everyone reads the translation in real time — no delays, no miscommunication, no expensive interpreter fees.

Translate a Conversation on a TV or Second Screen

The marquee opens in its own window with its own URL, so you can translate a conversation on a TV, a projector, or a second monitor while the microphone stays on the phone near the people talking. It's a plain web page, not a cast protocol — anything with a browser will display it, including smart TVs, streaming sticks, and meeting-room screens. Second-screen and TV setup →

Travel & Hospitality

Hotels, restaurants, and tourism businesses can offer guests a live interpreter app experience. Set up a tablet with Live Translate Live and communicate with guests in any language, instantly.

Language Learning & Practice

The scrolling translation display is a powerful tool for language learners. Speak in the language you're practicing and see the translation in real time — it's like having a patient tutor who shows you exactly what you said. Great for building vocabulary, practicing conversation skills, and gaining confidence.

Live Streaming & Broadcasting

Add the scrolling translation marquee to your live stream using OBS or any streaming software. Translate your speech in real time for international viewers — perfect for IRL streams, podcasts, and live broadcasts. Reach a global audience without needing a human translator on call.

Affordable Pay-As-You-Go Translation

Live Translate Live uses a simple credit system. Buy 15 minutes of translation time for $1 USD or a full hour for $3 USD. No subscriptions, no monthly fees — just pay for the translation time you actually use. Compare that to professional interpreter rates of $50–$150+ per hour.
